Description
Some graves should stay closed. Some spirits should never be set free.
Beyond a forgotten road lies an abandoned cemetery where graves have been opened, voices whisper beneath the earth, and pale green light gathers around a twisted dead tree. Brother Halren Vey, a priest and experienced exorcist, came here searching for the source of the disturbance. Now he lies dead beside an unfinished ritual, while something wearing his likeness watches over the failing seal.
Lingering Grasp of the Graveyard Ghost is a ready-to-run, single-session adventure that can be enjoyed as a standalone one-shot or incorporated into an ongoing campaign. As the characters investigate the cemetery, they’ll uncover Halren’s work, battle restless dead, confront the corruption surrounding the Dead Tree, and discover that destroying a haunting does not always mean escaping its grasp.
The second release in the One Map Mayhem series, this adventure continues the line’s focus on compact encounters built around a single battle map, with a natural conclusion and an optional high-impact outcome that can create lasting consequences far beyond the session itself.
Designed for five 3rd-level characters.
This adventure includes:
- 1 full-color tactical battle map featuring the Excavated Graves, Funerary House, Dead Tree, and Mausoleum
- 5 adventure hooks for dropping the graveyard into an ongoing campaign
- Gravewalker zombies, the corrupted Dead Tree, and the deceptive Hollow Voice
- 4 custom creature stat blocks, including the Hollow Voice Unbound for its eventual return
- The Ritual Dagger, a rare magic weapon created to contain restless spirits
- A reconstructed binding rite and investigation clues that reveal what happened to Brother Halren
- Optional campaign consequences that can follow one character long after the graveyard has been left behind
- Three supernatural manifestations that gradually reveal the Hollow Voice’s lingering influence
One map. One haunted graveyard. A consequence that refuses to stay buried.
